I was born in Johnson City, NY in 1936 and my mother worked for EJ's. My father was a body and fender automobile repairman. We later lived in West Corners, NY, and I graduated from UEHS. The mountains and the lakes in New York State are still very beautiful. It was great to see the web cam pictures on your web page. You should have some of the carasouls at the park. My sisters and I enjoyed riding them.

I am reading your article on making pc boards. The article is very good. I'm just starting. I bought a kit that consists of uv lamp boards and chemicals for making pc boards. There are some circuits that I would love to make and put them on a pc board.
I have one question about single layer boards. I think, if I read this right, that you are looking at the foil side. If so, then you would imagine the parts on the other side with their pins facing you. Is this right?
One other question. Are you related to the Barlows who have the Science Workshop?

I've visited lots of sites over the holiday season and I will say your is by far the best one yet. i love your image page and the story for children is delightful. i work in a women's shelter and for those children to recieve a special letter from santa is the best. I am an ex Binghamton native. I moved down to the Tampa area about a year and a half ago. I love it here however never thought I would say that I do miss some aspects of Binghamton. Sometimes the small town feeling is missed as well as the much less traffic and commute to work. I do like the weather and the choices of doing more things here. And the biggest advantage is lower cost of living. For example property taxes are much lower here. I bought a new house here and with a homestead exemption I pay 800.00 less than my house up in Endicott which is just a small three bedroom ranch and is close to 40 yrs old. Electric rates here are three times lower than NYSEG. Water is the only thing I see that is higher here. I pay about three times more for it here.
One request, now that I found this site I will stop by often to remind me of the area. One thing I miss is the Galley tavern on Hooper Rd in Endwell. If there is any way possible to add a picture of this I would greatly appreciate it.
